Sign In with Microsoft 365

Lightspeed now supports Microsoft 365 and Outlook authentication, so teams that run on Microsoft can sign in with the accounts they already use every day.

Many charitable organizations and lottery operators run their operations on Microsoft 365. Their email is Outlook, their files are in SharePoint, and their team communicates through Teams. When Lightspeed launched with Google-only authentication, these organizations had to create separate Google accounts or manage additional credentials just to access the platform.

That barrier is gone. Lightspeed now supports Microsoft 365 authentication as a first-class sign-in option, right alongside Google. Click "Sign in with Microsoft," authenticate with your existing organizational account, and you're in.

What's included

Why this matters

Reducing sign-in friction directly impacts adoption. Organizations that standardize on Microsoft 365 can now deploy Lightspeed to their teams without asking anyone to create or manage additional accounts. IT administrators benefit from centralized identity management, and users benefit from one less password to remember.

The integration uses Microsoft's official MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library) browser SDK, self-hosted for reliability and privacy. No third-party authentication services are involved.

What's next

We're exploring deeper Microsoft 365 integrations including the ability to import knowledge base content from SharePoint and send AI-generated responses directly through Outlook.
